Well well well, guess who’s jumped on the beard oil bandwagon. Well to be fair, they’ve brought out a whole range of men’s products.
Yes, Sainsburys, our favourite orange supermarket. Our Nectar point producing shop. They’re here, there and everywhere. And now they’re doing their own men’s products. The range is quite large and quite cheaply priced. Here’s some of them…
80p for a shower gel? Not bad! Ideal if you have a trip away from home and forget your toiletries! Anyways, back to the beard oil.
It’s £3 for 30ml which is excellent value, but what do you get for your money?
The key ingredients are grapeseed oil, jojoba oil and almond oil. There’s also argania spinosa kernel oil, or argan oil, which is a nice addition. Theeeeen there’s a lot of synthetic ingredients which is almost expected at this price point. The oil is quite thick and one full dropper is enough for a longer beard. It absorbs well and does give the beard a nice healthy shine. It works well to reduce the itch underneath.
A big plus is that it doesn’t smell like sandalwood. Sandalwood scented beard oils trigger me.
Designed for men? I’m sure the lovely Harnaam Kaur will have something to say about that.
Anyways, to conclude, a decent oil for the price. Perfect for an emergency, but there are better alternatives.
Doing a weekly shop and want to get a beard oil? Go for it!
Going out of your way to buy this beard oil? Don’t bother.
Until next time, A.
