It sounds badass! Ritual of Samurai. Sign me up! It’s a beard oil which costs £17.90 online. I can’t remember how much I paid but it was around the same. I picked this up from the Rituals shop underneath Amsterdam Centraal Station.
Rituals are a brand that are inspired by Asian culture to create a collection of luxurious products for home and body. They seem affordable but a bit more expensive than the average high street. Rituals products are available in a lot of places in the UK but I can’t recall ever seeing them! Maybe it’s the woman’s products that are popular here. Rituals was founded in Amsterdam so they’re quite big over there!
There it is. A 30ml beard oil using a push top dispensing system. It has a lid (pictured) so you can put this in your bag and not worry about it going everywhere. Although it looks opaque in the photo, the bottle is actually translucent so you can see the amount of oil left. The amount that comes out is pretty good, one or two pumps is all you need.
What makes this unique is the scent. It’s sencha and Japanese mint. Sencha is a type of Japanese green tea and Japanese mint is different to mint scents used in over beard oils. It’s very refreshing and not overpowering.
The ingredients are as follows: sesame seed oil, jojoba seed oil, frangrace, argan oil, green tea extract, Japanese mint extract, tocopherol, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, benzyl alcohol, citral, citronellol, ceraniol, limonene and linalool.
The quality of the ingredients are good which results in a good quality oil, it’s not too runny and doesn’t leave the beard feeling wiry. It softens the beard and gives it a good shine without leaving it too greasy, which can be a problem with other beard oils.
For the price, it’s a brilliant product with nice packaging and a good looking bottle. The oil is of a top quality and I’m looking forward to using this as my daily beard oil!
